Zeus
ZeusLN
Zeus is a mobile Bitcoin/Lightning wallet (iOS on the App Store, Android on Google Play and F-Droid) with a dual nature that makes it rare. On one side it is an interface for your own Lightning node: it connects to a remote LND, Core Lightning, LNDHub node or via Lightning Node Connect, letting you manage multiple nodes from the same phone while keeping full sovereignty. On the other side it offers an integrated self-custodial solution, "ZEUS Pay", with a lightning address for those who don't run their own node. It is fully open-source (AGPL v3), non-custodial and no-KYC. It is the reference choice for anyone who puts sovereignty and control of their own node first.

Strengths
- Dual nature: an interface for your own node (LND, Core Lightning, LNDHub, Lightning Node Connect) and an integrated self-custodial "ZEUS Pay" solution with a lightning address; open-source (AGPL v3), non-custodial and no-KYC; also available on F-Droid.
- Self-custody: funds stay in your wallet — the platform cannot touch them.
- No KYC: usable without identity verification.
- Open-source, verifiable code.
- Self-hostable: you can run your own instance or node.
Weaknesses
- Setting it up with your own node has a non-trivial learning curve; getting the most out of it assumes you already run (or want to run) a Lightning node; mobile only.
- No notable sovereignty drawback documented.
Verdict
Score 4.3/5, very strong profile. In its favour: dual nature: an interface for your own node (LND, Core Lightning, LNDHub, Lightning Node Connect) and an integrated self-custodial "ZEUS Pay" solution with a lightning address; open-source (AGPL v3), non-custodial and no-KYC; also available on F-Droid. The trade-off to weigh: setting it up with your own node has a non-trivial learning curve; getting the most out of it assumes you already run (or want to run) a Lightning node; mobile only.
On the Sovereignty lens the score is 4.9/5 (outstanding): the strength is fund control (5.0/5), while censorship resistance (4.8/5) is the weak link.

FAQ
Is Zeus custodial?
No. Zeus is non-custodial and no-KYC: you can connect it to your own Lightning node (LND, Core Lightning, LNDHub or via Lightning Node Connect) keeping full control, or use the integrated self-custodial "ZEUS Pay" solution. In neither case does ZeusLN custody your funds.
Which nodes can Zeus connect to?
Zeus can connect to a remote LND node, to Core Lightning, to LNDHub instances and via Lightning Node Connect. It also lets you manage multiple nodes at once from the same device (source: ZeusLN's official repository, August 2026).
What is ZEUS Pay?
ZEUS Pay is Zeus's integrated self-custodial solution: it provides a lightning address to receive payments without running your own node, while still keeping control of the keys.
