Cookie Policy

Last updated: 15 June 2026

This page describes how promp.it uses cookies and similar technologies. In short: no profiling cookies, no advertising tracking, no Google Analytics. That is why the site shows no consent banner: none is needed.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files saved by your browser on your device when you visit a website. They store preferences or collect information about your browsing session.

2. What promp.it uses

The site sets no profiling or marketing cookies. The only technologies used are:

  • Theme preference (light/dark) — stored in the browser's localStorage; it is not a cookie and is never sent to any server.
  • Language preference — handled via the URL (/it/ or /en/), no cookie involved.

These are strictly necessary for the site to function and do not require consent under applicable EU cookie rules.

3. Cookieless analytics (Plausible)

For traffic statistics promp.it uses Plausible Analytics, self-hosted on its own servers in the European Union. Plausible runs without cookies: it stores no file on your device, does not collect full IP addresses, and does not track users across sessions or websites.

The data collected is exclusively aggregate and anonymous (visit counts, pages viewed, country of origin, browser/device type, referrer) and does not allow any individual to be identified. As no cookies or individual tracking are used, no consent is required.

4. Third-party cookies

promp.it embeds no third-party cookies, social widgets, embedded videos (YouTube/Vimeo) or advertising pixels (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn or similar).

Affiliate links to compared providers redirect you to the provider's site, which may set its own cookies under its own policy. We encourage you to read each provider's cookie policy before proceeding.

5. Managing cookies

Since the site uses no profiling cookies, there is nothing to disable. You can still control and delete cookies and localStorage data from your browser settings:

Disabling localStorage may affect some site features (e.g. saving your theme preference).

6. Rights and contact

For exercising your rights and data transfers, see the Privacy Policy. For questions about this policy, write to [email protected].
