Data verified on unchanged since the sources

Worth it if you want a self-custody multichain wallet with very broad coverage (130+ networks) and integrated DEX swap, staking, and DeFi across mobile, extension, and web.

Avoid it if you require fully open-source, verifiable code, transparent swap fees, or independence from the OKX exchange, to which the wallet is tightly tied.

OKX Wallet is the self-custody wallet of the OKX ecosystem, available as an iOS and Android app, a browser extension and a web interface. It is a distinct product from the OKX exchange: here the keys stay on the user's device and OKX has no access to the funds. Its headline strength is very broad multichain coverage, more than 130 native networks, with an integrated DEX swap (in Easy, Advanced and Meme modes), staking and DeFi tools in a single interface. Recovery is via seed phrase, private key and biometric authentication: it is not an MPC wallet. The code is not published in full in a verifiable way, so it should be treated as only partially open-source. Swap fees are not disclosed transparently: the real cost depends on the spread and the fees applied at the moment of the trade.

FAQ

Is OKX Wallet the same as the OKX exchange?

No. OKX Wallet is a self-custody wallet: private keys stay on your device and OKX has no access to the funds. The OKX exchange is a custodial service where funds are held by the platform. They are two distinct products, even though they belong to the same ecosystem.

Does OKX Wallet use MPC technology?

No. According to the official site (August 2026), recovery is via seed phrase, private key and biometric authentication, not MPC. Safely keeping your seed phrase therefore remains the user's responsibility.

What fees does OKX Wallet charge on swaps?

Swap fees are not disclosed transparently on the site. The real cost of a swap depends on the spread and the fees shown at the moment of the trade: it is best to always check them on the confirmation screen before signing.
