Canton Network is a privacy-enabled public blockchain designed for financial markets and institutional use, developed by Digital Asset (founded in 2014 by Yuval Rooz, Eric Saraniecki and Shaul Kfir). It enables tokenization of financial assets and the exchange of data and value across systems while preserving the confidentiality required by regulated institutions. Launched in 2023 by a consortium of banks, exchanges and tech firms, it is governed by the Canton Foundation and counts participants such as DTCC, Goldman Sachs, BNY Mellon, Deutsche Börse and Euroclear.
