Satochip, made by Belgium's Satochip S.R.L., is a line of cheap, fully open-source (AGPLv3) hardware wallets in NFC smartcard form. The range has three distinct products, all around €25: Satochip, the smartcard wallet that signs transactions with an EAL6+ certified secure element; Satodime, a sealed bearer card meant to gift or transfer crypto without exposing the private key until it is 'scratched'; and Seedkeeper, a card to store seed phrases and secrets in encrypted form. They are used by tapping the card to a smartphone (NFC) or a reader, and are compatible with well-known clients such as Electrum, Sparrow and the WalletConnect protocol. Multi-asset support across Bitcoin, Ethereum, ERC-20/721 and EVM chains (1,000+ assets).

How much does a Satochip cost?
Each of the three products (Satochip, Satodime, Seedkeeper) costs about €25 on the official store. Bundles are also available, such as the Seedkeeper 3-pack and the Ultimate Security Pack at about €85. Prices in euros, August 2026.
What's the difference between Satochip, Satodime and Seedkeeper?
Satochip is the actual wallet: it signs transactions. Satodime is a sealed bearer card: whoever holds it owns the funds, useful to gift or physically transfer crypto without exposing the key. Seedkeeper is for storing seed phrases and secrets in encrypted form, not for signing.
Is Satochip open source?
Yes, fully: firmware and software are published under the AGPLv3 licence and the secure element is EAL6+ certified. It is one of the few hardware wallets entirely verifiable in the code.
