In 2020 Kraken Security Labs published an analysis of flaws in the CoolWallet S (the model preceding the Pro): the Android companion app kept the PIN and seed in cleartext in the phone's storage, exposing them to malware with device access. CoolBitX fixed the flaw in later updates. The incident concerns the S model, not the Pro, but is reported for historical continuity of the brand.
